FFmpeg / FFprobe license identification — Subtitle Audit ======================================================== Subtitle Audit for macOS redistributes a separately bundled FFprobe helper built by H61 Apps from the official FFmpeg 8.1.2 source release (unmodified; no local patches) using an offline LGPL-oriented recipe. Product packaging: Contents/Helpers/ffprobe only This application does NOT ship the ffmpeg executable, even though the FFmpeg source package and configure recipe can also produce ffmpeg. Canonical staged binary in this repository: build/bundled-tools/ffprobe Configuration intentionally omits: --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree external GPL encoder libraries (libx264, libx265, etc.) License target for this build: LGPL-2.1-or-later (see LGPL-2.1.txt) The application invokes FFprobe as a separate helper executable under Contents/Helpers/. It is a statically linked FFmpeg tool — not linked into the application binary as a shared library.
